Atletico Madrid 2 Real Madrid 1 (agg. 2-4)

Isco lights up Vicente Calderon  as Real Madrid reach UEFA Champions League Finals to meet Juventus alias the old lady.

Atletico Madrid put up a good fight at their home ground Vicente Calderon in their efforts to eliminate their bitter rivals Real Madrid but a magical moment by Benzema and a 3-goal-deficeit put all odds against them.

“A moment of magic by Benzema put our dream out of reach,” said Atletico captain Gabi.

Even a 2-1 win in the derby could not help atletico.

An awesome hat-trick by Christiano Ronaldo in the first leg of UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals gave the visitors an upper hand and an away goal by Isco only added salt to Atletico’s injury.

Real reached their 15th European Cup final where they will face Juventus in Cardiff on June 3 – attempting to win it for a 12th time and for the third time in four years – but were pushed all the way as Atletico beat them and threatened what would have been the greatest comeback in the competition’s glorious history.

It meant Zinedine Zidane became the first manager since Sir Alex Ferguson in 2008 and 2009 to reach two European Cup finals in a row, and has done so in his first two seasons as a coach, as he attempts to become the first to retain it. He will have to do so against his former club.

We anticipate a heated match in the finals as Real Madrid face Juventus. May the best team win.
