Embakasi East MP Babu Owino was today arraigned in Milimani Law Court over ‘anti-President Uhuru Kenyatta utterances.
The remarks that Babu made on Sunday while at Kawangware addressing a rally was received with mixed reactions by politicians, with residents in different places going on streets to protest.
The ant-Babu demos caused a traffic jam in Nairobi, Thika Super Highway as well as in Kiambu after protesters barricaded the road, lit bonfires chanting “Babu must be arrested”.
The protesters and shorn not to halt the emos until their calls were heeded to.
However, later in the day Bau was arrested and detained ahead of the court appearance today.
