FKF Cup defending champions Bandari Fc have been placed in Pot A of the CAF Confederations Cup playoff round draw with Gor Mahia in Pot B ahead.
The coastal based outfit will grace the playoff round courtesy of recording a 3-2 aggregate win over Tunisian outfit US Ben Guerdane in the first round. Bandari secured a 2-0 home win before William Wardi 87th minutes strike gifted them an away goal despite losing 2-1 in the return leg played at the Stade De Guerdane.
KPL defending champions Gor Mahia will participate in the CAF Confederations Cup after being eliminated in the champion’s league by USM Algers following a 2-0 loss at home.
Winners of the playoff round will proceed to the group stages of the second-tier CAF club championship. CAF is set to conduct the draw on October 9th 2019 with first leg matches slated for October 27th.8 CAF confederation cup first-round winners will face 8 CAF champions’ league first-round losers.
