Mwamba RFC speedster Collins Injera,Billy Odhiambo ,Kenya Harlequins William Ambaka, Homeboyz quarter of Leonard Mugaisi,Augustine Lugonzo ,Bush Mwale And Jeff Oluoch are some of the senior Kenya 7s players who have reported back in training ahead of the 2019 safari sevens tournament set to be hosted at the R.F.U.E.A Grounds from 18th October.
At least 15 senior players boycotted training in December 2018 following wrangles over salaries forcing Coach Paul Murunga to depend on rookies for the 2018/2019 HSBC 7s series.
With the Africa qualifiers for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics set for November 9th to 10th in Johannesburg South Africa, Coach Paul Feeney will be using the safari 7s to prepare a squad that can successfully secure a ticket to the Olympics.
