A Coronavirus rapid response team from the Ministry of Health is off to Ongata Rongai where the lady with coronavirus hails from.
CS Mutahi Kagwe said, “We have embarked on a contract tracing for all persons who have been in contact with her,” “We have sent a rapid response team to Ongata Rongai area where she lives for that purpose. There should be no panic.”
The Kenyan Government is tracking passengers on board the flight that the 27-year-old Kenyan woman travelled in. Kagwe confirmed they were tracing passengers that were sitting next to the lady. He also praised the woman for going to the hospital.
“I want to thank her because the minute she started feeling unwell she felt she needed to go to a hospital,” he said.
“She is a very responsible citizen…She has given us the names of the people she has been in contact with.”
The lady is currently under quarantine at Mbagathi Hospital. The case has an uproar among Kenyans who are wondering where she has visited and who she has been in close contact within since her arrival on March 5th.
