CS Matiang’i assures that exams will be marked fairly

The Cabinet Secretary for education, Dr. Fred Matiang’i has told parents not to worry about exams marking.

Speaking today as he oversaw exam distribution in Meru, Matiang’i promised that the exams will be marked well, excluding fear of examiners taking bribes to favor some people.

Since taking over as education CS, Matiang’i has unleashed various guidelines  meant to bar students and pupils from teachers.

The banning of third term visitations, closing schools early in the the third term before the exams began were some of the drastic measures.

The CS further went on to bar teachers from accessing schools during exam time, and handing over the authority of exams distribution to counties with each principal or headteacher responsible for delivery of exam papers to his schools.

The CS also involved security departments, to  guard to exams papers that are stored in containers at every county, with the containers set to be opened in presence of all key officials involved exams distribution.

Education CS was speaking while at Njeri High School as he supervised the opening of the CRE KSCE paper.
