Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu has been arrested at Supreme Court.
The DCJ was arrested in Nairobi over alleged corruption by the Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI), George Kinoti.
She was later taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for questioning along Kiambu Road
Her arrest follows a series of meetings by the Judicial Service Commission, the judiciary employer, for the better part of the morning.
coming after a culmination of investigations into the judiciary over corruption allegations, her arrest has prompted shock at the apprehension of such a high-ranking judicial staff.
