Despite loss,Homeboyz still top Sevens series log with 60 points

Despite losing the Driftwood Sevens leg over the weekend, Homeboyz still top the national Sevens Series log with 60 points.The series leaders lost to Kenya Harlequin after a tightly contested final at Mombasa Sports Club.

Homeboyz have so far made three final appearances winning the opening leg in Nakuru over Impala before getting their tables turned by Impala during the Kabeberi Sevens.

Having reached the Driftwood final, Homeboyz earned 19 points while Quins pocketed the maximum 22 to move up to second place with 54.

Kabeberi Sevens winners, Impala Saracens are third with 53.Strathmore Leos stagnated at fourth after earning 17 points for their third place finish with 49.

Kabras Sugar moved two places up to fifth place with 38 points after bagging 15 points after losing in the playoffs to Leos.Sixth are KCB with 36 points after earning 13 points for bagging the Plate.

Last year’s Driftwood champions Mwamba RFC dropped two places to seventh with 34 points while defending series champions Nakuru RFC come eighth with 28. Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad are ninth with 25.

Daystar Falcons bagged three points to move to 11th with 11 points, tying with Western Bulls who did not feature in the Driftwood Sevens. Kisii RFC are 13th with 10 followed by Catholic Monks, 14th with seven points, Mean Machine,15th with six,
