Kenya Premier league outfit Sofapaka keen to bounce back

Sofapaka continued with their preparations at the Eastleigh High School Grounds ahead of their premier league match against Mathare United set to be played on the 20th of this month at the Kasarani Stadium. The coach John Baraza led side will be keen to record maximum points to boost their points tally.

Former KPL Champions Sofapaka quest to improve their position in the 2019/2020KPL log continues with a match against 4th placed Mathare United slated for 20th November at the Kasarani Stadium.

Sofapaka who have recorded dismal performance this season compared to the last season sit at the 10th position in the league, having won 3 matches, drawn 2 and lost 4

Batoto Ba Mungu has however taken advantage of the international break to train

The team’s head coach John Baraza is confident that his team is ripe and will be able to perform well in the upcoming fixtures to improve their point tally.

The Elly Kalekwa owned outfit recorded a 7-1 win over Eastleigh Fc in a friendly match to add up to their 2-1 win over Wazito Fc in the last Kenya Premier League encounter.

According to the team’s captain Titus Achesa, with the team working on all its structures during the international break, soon they will be able to reign supreme.

Achesa further believes Batoto Ba Mungu still remain hopeful they can win the KPL title this season despite them sitting at the 10th spot.

Sofapaka is among the few teams in the Kenyan Premier League that boost of a shirt sponsor. Baraza believes having a sponsor gives the team an edge over other teams that are struggling financially.
