Kisumu County Assembly member is reported to have gone missing in the wake of Friday 30, September 2016.
According to neighbours, the car and phone belonging to the vocal county lawmaker Paul Odhiambo Okiri were found abandoned with car doors wide open.
The families believe that it was a kidnap. Odhiambo, ‘manager’ as commonly known in the region was in the forefront question for accountability for the missing Sh105 million ward development fund.
The ward residents have however staged demos in fear that that MCA might have been killed.
The incident has already been reported at Maseno Police Station.
Protesters have already blocked the Kisumu-Maseno road asking the police to expedite investigations into the alleged abduction.
Kisumu County Commissioner Maalim Mohammed said the matter has been reported at Maseno Police Station by his wife Pamela Okwiri, OBs/30/9/2016, and recorded a statement.
“His car and his phone were found intact near his neighbour’s garden,” said Mr Mohammed
