Residents of California estate in Kitui town woke up to a rude shock after the remains of a newborn baby boy, with his umbilical cord still attached, were found on a dumpsite.
The locals said they spotted the lifeless body of the newborn in the morning hours and notified the police.
It is suspected the baby was dumped late last night.
The locals condemned the act and called for police investigations to bring the culpable woman to book.
Police took the body to Kitui level five hospital’s mortuary.
