An order has been passed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to arrest the Mombasa boss who allegedly set Njoroge, an employee on fire over theft allegations.

The boss is said to face charges of attempted murder.

Njoroge expressed that he was accused of stealing aluminum coils worth millions of shillings and was arrested and charged with the offense, then later released on a Sh100,000 bond.

He narrated that he was accosted by his former boss and the guards in January, who manhandled him and put him in a truck before he was transported to the yard where the boss poured thinner, a flammable solvent, on his back and set him on fire.

He said he would have died were it not for some workers present during the incident who grabbed a fire extinguisher and sprayed him with foam.

The incident was secretly recorded and the video circulated on social media causing a public uproar.
