Maasai Mara road protests prompt visitors to cancel trips

The wildebeest migration that occurs every year in the month of August is commonly known for attracting tourist from all over the world though this time round the situation might take a turn for the worse after tour operators demonstrated, leading to withdrawal of tourists’ bookings.

Chairman of the central business in Narok,David Sankok is now calling on the government to listen to the plea of tour operators since the clients were now shifting their focus to other tourist sites such as Amboseli.

Sankoko as well accused the arresting of the tour operators for demonstrating on the poor state of roads since a majority of them encounter massive losses in taking their vehicles to the garage after trading through the pathetic Mara roads.

The Maasai Mara in Narok County contributes immensely to the countries tourism sector with thousands of foreigners flying in to see the wildebeest migration.
