Residents of Mashambani estate in Bungoma town were left in rude shock on Thursday evening after a man was caned by his late father accusing him of not intervening in family affairs yet he was the first born.
It is alleged that the man surnamed Simiyu is a saved man although his wife and mother are notorious drunkards something that has been a disgrace to the family.
On the fateful day the man woke up and shocked his family as he wept urging his dead father to forgive him. “Forgive me father” the man was heard saying. His wife tried to communicate to him but he was in his own world.
Sources privy to the information further reveal that, he only gained consciousness after he went to his father’s grave and knelt on it. Since the incident, his wife and mother have vowed to stop drinking the traditional liquor (chang’aa and busaa).
