Members of Parliament – Moses Kuria and Ferdinand Waititu – case has come to an end today after a magistrate’s court acquitted them of incitement to violence charges.
The Gatundu South Member of Parliament and the Kabete Member of Parliament were cleared after the Senior Magistrate found no evidence that could be used to charge them.
The two MPs were among other Jubilee and Cord politicians arrested and detained last year over alleged hate speech and incitement to violence.
Charity Aluoch, Senior Principal Magistrate, ruled that video evidence produced by the prosecution incriminating the two Jubilee legislators is not authentic to warrant their conviction.
