Olunga miss Allsvenskan award

Kenyan star and a Swedish striker Michael Olunga has missed the Allsvenskan award.

Olunga had a fine first season in the Swedish top flight. but his contribution to his team was enough for him to be voted the New Player of the Year by Swedish football stakeholders as he was beaten to the award by Swedish youngster Alexander Isaac.

As a result of his contribution to the team, he was nominated for the new Player of the Year by Swedish football stakeholders.

At the end of the voting, Olunga was beaten to the award by Swedish youngster Alexander Isaac.

The Swedish top flight, Allsvenskan’s awards gala was held on Thursday 17 November.

Isaac won the award with 585 votes to and by virtue of getting the most votes, the 17 – year old AIK striker was also named the fans’ favorite.

The two were nominated alongside 18 – year old Jesper Karlsson of Falkenberg FF who was from the onset seen as an outsider in the contest.

Olunga scored 12 goals in 26 matches on his debut season at Djurgardens while Isaac netted 10 in 24 matches as Karlson scored seven in 26 matches in the season.
