President Uhuru Kenyatta backs Prime Minister’s post ahead of the unveiling of the BBI report

President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally declared support for the prime minister’s post. Speaking yesterday when he met leaders from his Mount Kenya backyard at Sagana state lodge, the president pointed out that he does not know contents of the BBI report yet he hear people claiming that he wants to become the prime minister of Kenya.

The head of state, however, pointed out that he wouldn’t mind being in leadership in such a post, but urged the leaders to deal with the current situation first

His remarks in an address mainly in Gikuyu was seen as a precursor to the unveiling of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report in the coming days. The president also denied promising opposition leader Raila Odinga 2022 support.
