Deputy President William Ruto leads when it comes to coverage of national politics at 27.88 percent, followed by Uhuru at 20.76 percent and Raila at 18.04 percent. This is according to a report by TIFA and Reelforge.

However, Uhuru Kenyatta receives the most coverage across all media platforms in the country. The report notes that the coverage around these personalities has been on 2022 politics and the handshake.

Uhuru was the most mentioned personality in the news at 20 percent, followed by Deputy President William Ruto at 13 percent and opposition leader Raila Odinga at 8 percent.

Cabinet secretaries for Interior Fred Matiangi and Sports Amina Mohamed have the highest coverage while Mike Sonko leads among the Governors. The poll was for the period between October 2018 and June 2019.

The report dispels the notion that the most covered topic by Kenyan media is politics. Apparently, crime got the highest coverage
