Sportpesa Partners with Kenya Rugby Union

The Kenya leading gambling company, Sportpesa today announced its partnership with Kenya Rugby Union. The agreement sees SportPesa coming on board as the Kenya Rugby Union’s headline partner.

“On the 20th of July 2016, the formal announcement of a strategic partnership agreement between SportPesa & Kenya Rugby Union, KRU,” read a statement on their website.

The 5 year sponsorship in the tune of Kshs 607 Million “announcement marks a strategic alliance between these two progressively recognizable brands in that will oversee the development of the national rugby squads i.e. Kenya 15s, U19s & Women’s squads.”

“SportPesa’s aim in this partnership is to also support the development performance of the game international while strengthen the ‘Get Into Rugby’ program countrywide,” continued the statement.

With this in place, the national squads will be able to fulfil their potential & improve further on results that, for the first time, include performance-based incentives/ bonus program for the 15s, U192 & Women’s teams during international assignments.
