A student has been killed in cold blood in Maseno University over unclear circumstances. Peter Njoroge, a third year student, who resides in Mabungo, is said to have met his sudden death at around 5.00pm.
In retaliation, students killed the alleged killer and set his house on fire. According to a police officer who did not want to be identified for he is not supposed to address the media, the suspect who was identified as Joshua, was a well-known criminal claims which we could not verify.
Addressing students in the scene of the crime, Mr. Kweya Opande, the dean of students, has urged students to maintain calmness as investigations have been launched.
“I urge students to maintain calmness for this matter is already in police hands” opined Opande.
