Barcelona came back into form by thrashing Deportivo 8-0 after going through a horrible consecutive three match for the first time since the era of Luis Van Gaal. The Blaugrana had complete control of the game from the first minute with a will utilized high possession as the players moved quickly and smartly, with ‘MSN’ trio constantly switching positions to break down Depor’s defense.
Suarez scored the opener after Ivan Rakitic played a beautiful corner kick cross straight to his left foot. The goal shifted the fighting spirits for Deportivo and immediately they had two clear-cut chances in a bad five-minute stretch for Barça’s defense.
The Catalans continued to take control of the actions, and a great team move finished by a sensational through ball by Messi found Suárez alone in the box, and the Uruguayan didn’t disappoint and calmly beat the keeper for the second goal.
One minute just after the second half, Rakitic scored the third goal after Neymar brought the ball up in a quick counter-attack and passed it to Suárez inside the box who played a sensational lob pass to him.
The Catalans continued the pressure and five minutes later, completed his hat-trick after he scored Barça’s fourth. As they say, one wrong spice can change the taste of the soup, Deportivo made offensive substitutions and went forward with purpose to try and score at least one goal and avoid embarrassment at home, an act that left gaps on their defense. The trio took the advantage, and served Suárez for his fourth and Barça’s fifth on the night.
During the whole of the game, Messi and Neymer looked like suppliers but the game could not end before their names were shouted by commentators, and it happened as Messi scored for Barça’s sixth
Few minutes later, Defender Bartra recovered a ball and made a phenomenal run through the defense before scoring a great goal as Neymer came later to close goal chapter by scoring the 8th goal.
