The frosty relations between the Teachers Service Commission and the Kenya National Union of Teachers has prompted teachers to challenge Education cabinet secretary professor George Magoha to initiate talks over remuneration benefits withdrawn by the employer.

Speaking during their annual general meeting at the Union’s branch in Nyamira, KNUT officials said that they were ready to engage TSC to resolve the stalemate.

If the move succeeds, it will be the first time in history that KNUT and TSC  settle their differences without an Industrial course of action.
