United announce Virgin Money deal

In an announcement not dissimilar from how a transfer would be portrayed, the club welcomed the billionaire who has struck a deal to become an official partner of the club.

Virgin Money have now become United’s UK Retail Financial Services Partner. A statement on Virgin’s website read: ‘At Virgin Money, we’ve always admired Manchester United.

‘The unrivaled history, the iconic players, and the maverick spirit that runs through the club and its fans.
‘It’s a club that wants to change the game, not just play it. And it’s that same ambition that drives us as a bank – the relentless quest for better.

‘So we’re proud to be the official financial services partner of Manchester United FC. But this isn’t your everyday football partnership, born in the boardroom. United fans are used to better.

‘So this is about real products, tailored to fit the fans. And real rewards that money can’t buy.

‘Whether fans want to carry the club on their credit card, or celebrate success with a win bonus on their savings balance, our aim is to be the perfect match for their money.’
