President William Ruto has criticized the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump.
The President termed the act as shocking and heinous on his X account.
“On behalf of the people and government of the Republic of Kenya, I wish to add my voice to those condemning the recent attempted assassination of former U.S. President Donald J. Trump. I extend my deepest sympathies to President Trump, his family, and the families of the victims of this shocking, heinous act,” President Ruto said in the statement.
The President of Kenya, Dr. Ruto sent sympathies on behalf of the people of Kenya to President Trump, and all the families affected during the attack.
“In these troubling times, I take this opportunity to recommit to the democratic ideals we share with the people of the United States of America. Wishing Donald Trump a speedy and full recovery,” he added.
The Secret Service is investigating the attempted assassination of former POTUS who appeared at his campaign rally in Pennsylvania, USA.
President Trump was targeted on the head, but fortunately, he was shot in the ear during the campaign when he was at the podium addressing his supporters.
He was left bleeding and the security agents took him away to his car and taken to hospital for medication. President Trump while swarm away kept shouting, “Fight! Fight!”
In a statement released by the Secret Service, the person who shot the Republican Presidential candidate was dead, one of the supporters was also killed and some spectators were injured during the incident.
