DCI Director Mohammed Amin Affirms NPS Commitment To Inter-Agency Cooperation

The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mr. Mohamed Amin, has reaffirmed the National Police Service’s (NPS) commitment,to strengthening collaboration with other government security agencies within the criminal justice system, to ensure the safety and security of the nation.

Mr. Amin made these remarks while addressing 66 graduates of the Senior Training Course at the National Police Service – Senior Staff College.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mr. Amin who represented the Acting Inspector General, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli,commended the new graduates, who have earned the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, for their hard work and dedication.

He noted that these highly coveted leadership positions come with increased responsibilities and challenges.

“The much coveted leadership positions they had attained came with more responsibilities.He therefore urged the new Assistant Superintendents of Police to prepare for the huge task awaiting them,” stated the DCI.

The six-month Senior Training Course, which included participants from both the Administration Police Service and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, was specifically designed to equip the officers with the essential leadership and managerial skills needed to serve effectively at the Sub-County level.

The comprehensive training program focused on fostering strategic thinking, decision-making, and resource management to prepare them for their new positions.

The Commandant of the National Police College, Embakasi A Campus, Mr. D. L. Lomwatu, also addressed the graduates, calling for professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in their duties, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with the public to enhance community policing efforts.

The event underscored the importance of continuous training and development for police officers, particularly in leadership roles, to ensure they are well-prepared to address evolving security challenges.

The NPS remains committed to enhancing its capabilities through such training programs and fostering stronger partnerships within the criminal justice system.
