Directorate of Criminal Investigations detectives based at Kasarani Sub County headquarters have been granted 30 days custodial order by the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Makadara to continue holding Pascaline Peter alias Passy Ma Trevor, the main suspect behind a multi-million Shylock and real estate fraud.

Pascaline Peter, also known by the alias Passy Ma Trevor, was apprehended on Thursday in Kantafu, Machakos County.

She faces allegations of engaging in real estate fraud and operating a multi-million-shilling lending scheme.

Police said that they would continue holding the 36-year-old in custody to allow for more pending investigations.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the scheme affected over 300 innocent Kenyans who had to record statements

“The artifice affecting over 300 Kenyans who lost millions of shillings has seen the detectives record statements from over sixty victims with the number expected to quadruple over the course of time,” DCI said on X.

“The detectives will be seeking to among others gather more evidence on the fraud to ensure that a watertight case is presented before court to ensure justice is served to all,” the DCI added.

The DCI detectives reported that Pascaline Peter managed to rent out other people’s money through an illegal money-lending institution.

Ms. Peter executed a meticulously planned operation, wherein victims were persuaded to transfer substantial amounts of money into four separate bank accounts located at Equity Bank, Coop Bank, Stanbic Bank, and Kingdom Bank, under the assurance of receiving monthly interest rates of up to 30%.

She was reported to be switching her mobile phone off once payments were made and went into hiding.
