Family, friends and respected leaders came together to witness and celebrate the blessed Nikkah ceremony of Abdulrazaq Sheikh Ahmed Noor and Sumaya Salah Garad.

The joyful occasion united two esteemed families, that of Sheikh Ahmed Noor Hajji Mohamed and Fatuma Mohamed Sh. Abdirahman and Salah Garad Haji and Sahra Hussein Farah, in a momentous celebration of love, faith and tradition.

Held in an atmosphere filled with blessings and good wishes, the Nikkah was a reflection of deep-rooted Islamic values and Somali cultural heritage.

Guests gathered not only to celebrate the union of two individuals but also to honor the coming together of families and communities.

The ceremony was marked by heartfelt speeches, prayers and words of wisdom directed at the young couple.

In a message to Abdulrazaq and Sumaya, attendees emphasized the importance of anchoring their marriage in love, mutual respect and unity.

Wajir South MP Mohammed Adow remarked, “A successful marriage is built on love, respect, and faith. Abdulrazaq and Sumaya, support each other and grow together in the light of Allah’s guidance.”

Kamukunji MP Yussuf Hassan added, “May your union be a source of strength and inspiration to your families and communities. Remember to always communicate openly and embrace patience.”

The couple was encouraged to support one another through all of life’s seasons and to always seek guidance through faith.

Beyond the marriage celebration, the event also served as a platform for messages of national importance.

Former Cabinet Minister Mohammed Maalim addressed the gathering, saying, “Unity is the backbone of our nation’s progress. As we celebrate this union, let us also remember the importance of fostering peace and cooperation in society.”

He urged Kenyans to appreciate the developmental efforts made by the government and to foster constructive dialogue, emphasizing, “The opposition must engage responsibly by providing solutions and alternatives rather than constant criticism.”

The occasion was further dignified by the presence of these prominent leaders, whose attendance underscored the significance of the event and the shared commitment to nurturing both personal and national unity.

As the celebrations concluded, heartfelt prayers were offered for the couple’s happiness and future. The gathering ended with the Islamic invocation: “Baraka Allahu Lakuma Wa Baraka Alikuma Wa Jama’a Baynakuma Fee Khayr” — “May Allah bless both of you, and may He bring goodness between you.”
