On the sidelines of the ongoing 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 3) in Nice, France, CS Ali Hassan Joho held bilateral talks with Dr. Abdullah Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority of the Sultanate of Oman and the Hon. Murray Watt, Australian Minister of Environment and Water.
“During my discussion with the Omani official, we explored investment opportunities available to both Kenya and Oman, highlighting the long history of cultural and business exchange between our nations,” stated CS Ali Hassan Joho.
In CS Joho’s conversation with the Australian Minister, he exchanged insights on the ratification process of the agreement on Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) which Kenya recently ratified. Hon. Watt expressed Australia’s interest in fostering cultural and research exchanges with Kenya.

CS Joho took the opportunity to extend a warm invitation to both the Sultanate of Oman and Australia to attend the 11th ‘Our Ocean’ Conference in Kenya next year.
Accompanying CS Joho at the conference was Ms. Betsy Njagi, Principal Secretary of Blue Economy and Fisheries, H.E Governor Gideon M. Mung’aro, Kilifi County, H.E. Governor Dhadho Gaddae, TanaRiver County and H.E Josphat Nanok Deputy Chief of Staff Office of the President.
