Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Renson Ingonga, has been recognized for his leadership in digital transformation at the Digital Transformation Public Sector Awards 2025, held in Mombasa.
The DPP secured second place in the CEO of the Year category, an achievement attributed to the successful rollout of the Uadilifu Case Management System at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
The award was presented by Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, William Kabogo, who commended the ODPP’s commitment to embracing digital solutions.
The DPP received a plaque and a certificate of recognition, underscoring his pivotal role in modernizing prosecution services.
“We are excited by the digital transformation, and I assure you that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions will be at the forefront of embracing the digital era,” said DPP Ingonga during his acceptance speech.
The Uadilifu Case Management System has revolutionized the handling of case files at the ODPP, allowing prosecutors to process files more efficiently, reducing turnaround times, and streamlining communication with the Judiciary.
The system has significantly enhanced the filing of charge sheets and improved inter-agency collaboration, marking a major milestone in Kenya’s justice sector.
DPP Ingonga’s recognition follows a series of accolades, including his election as President of the Africa Prosecutors Association (APA) in Morocco and being awarded the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS) by President William Ruto at State House, Nairobi.
Speaking at the event, CS Kabogo reaffirmed the government’s commitment to digital transformation, emphasizing the introduction of paperless correspondences across government institutions.
The forum, which attracted experts and leaders in digital governance, sought to promote innovation and efficiency in public service delivery.
The event was attended by Eng. John Tonui, PS for ICT and Digital Economy; John Mutahi, PS for Economic Planning; Dr. Salome Wanjiru, PS for Correctional Services; and Evelyn Cheluget, Director General of Immigration and Citizen Services, among other key stakeholders.
DPP Ingonga has pledged to ensure the full national rollout of the Uadilifu Case Management System, reinforcing the ODPP’s dedication to leveraging technology for efficient and transparent prosecution services.
