The prices of super petrol, diesel, and kerosene will remain unchanged according to the latest review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) on Thursday 14th November 2024.
“In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No.192 of 2022, the Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has calculated the maximum retail prices of petroleum products which will be in force from 15th November 2024 to 14th December 2024,” stated EPRA.
“In the period under review, the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene remain unchanged,” Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority said on X.
In the month October, the prices were reduced by Ksh.8.18, Ksh.3.54, and Ksh.6.93 per litre for super petrol, diesel, and kerosene, respectively.
From November 15 to December 14, the prices will remain the same, with super petrol in Nairobi priced at Ksh.180.66 per litre. Diesel will be available at Ksh.168.06 per litre, while kerosene will be sold for Ksh.151.39 per litre in the capital.
“The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020,” EPRA added.
According to EPRA the prices in Mombasa will be Ksh.177.42 for super petrol, Ksh.164.82 for diesel, and Ksh. 148.45 for kerosene while in Kisumu, customers will pay Ksh. 180.68 per litre for super petrol, Ksh. 168.44 for diesel, and Ksh. 151.82 for kerosene.
In Nairobi, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will continue to retail at Kshs.180.66, Kshs.168.06 and Kshs.151.39 for the next 30 days.
