The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has released official guidelines for Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) students seeking financial aid for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The application process is strictly online, with a deadline set for June 24, 2025.
In an announcement shared by HELB, students enrolled in KMTC are urged to either register or log in to the HELB portal, where they will fill out the student loan application form and upload the required supporting documents.
The financial aid is aimed at supporting tuition, accommodation, and upkeep for students pursuing various medical-related courses across KMTC campuses countrywide.
The move is part of the government’s broader agenda to enhance access to affordable medical education and build capacity in the health sector.
To apply, students must provide their national ID number, a valid phone number, and a working email address.
They are also required to create a secure password and confirm their email to activate their HELB account.
Once registered, students can access and complete the loan application process on the HELB portal.
HELB has emphasized the importance of submitting applications early to avoid system congestion close to the deadline.
Applicants are also advised to double-check their details and ensure all required documents are clear and correctly uploaded.
