IAAF World Under 18 Championships in Nairobi hit day two at Kasarani.

Kenyans continue to do us proud even as the whole country is encouraged to drum up support for our teenagers.

Kenya’s Edward Zakayo won the second 3, 000m heat in 8:04.85 to sail to Sunday’s final.

Lydia Jeruto and Jackline Wambui have also qualified for the 800 metres finals.

So far Kenya stands at number 5 in the medals table with only one medal,a silver medal won by Emmaculate Chepkurui in the 3000 metres girls.

Ethiopia who are second placed in the medals log wend ahead to win the gold and bronze medals in the 3000 metres girls.

South Africa are the first ones on the Medals table so far with Gold and Silver medals in 100 metres race boys.

These medals were won by Tshenolo Lemao and Retshidisitswe Mulenga who are now IAAF World Under 18 100 metres champions.lemao
