In a historic move aimed at revitalizing Kenya’s tourism sector, the ministry led by Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage Rebecca Miano has launched nine new tourism circuits.
These circuits are designed to showcase Kenya’s breathtaking beauty, diverse wildlife, rich cultural heritage, and exciting adventures, offering local and international tourists a unique and memorable experience.
The launch of these circuits reflects the government’s commitment to building a sustainable, inclusive, and innovative tourism industry.
According to the CS, the ruling administration acknowledges tourism as a key driver of Kenya’s economy, and this initiative seeks to unlock new opportunities for growth while preserving the country’s natural wealth for future generations.
“The Kenya Kwanza Administration recognizes the vital role tourism plays in driving Kenya’s economy, and my team and I are committed to enhancing the tourism experience for both local and international visitors,” stated the CS.
“Kenya is a country of immense natural wealth, and it’s our responsibility to build a sustainable, inclusive and innovative tourism sector that preserves this heritage for future generations,” she added.
The launch event also honored the winners of the 2024 Tourism Excellence Awards, recognizing the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations that have elevated Kenya’s tourism sector.
As these new circuits open up unexplored parts of Kenya, they promise to enrich the tourism experience, offering travellers the chance to engage deeply with Kenya’s untold stories of culture, adventure, and beauty.
