The 72nd Annual Cannes Film Festival is taking place in Palais des Festival, Cannes, France. It started on May 14, 2019, and is scheduled to end on May 25, 2019. The international event aims to promote the importance of film and development of cinema, both showing in Hollywood and in the international scenes.
Among those who showed up is our famous celeb Kennedy Ombina who is commonly known as King Kaka. He is a rapper, poet, humanitarian as well as an entrepreneur. In 2018, King Kaka was unveiled as brand ambassador for the ‘One Life Live Them’ campaign by Remy Martin, a French cognac brand maker.
This year he attended the Cannes Festival and we see photos on his Instagram account looking dashing. In one of his photos, he claimed to be the first Kenyan musician to grace the red carpet in 72 years. He received a lot of love and congratulatory comments from fans.
He has also shared a photo with Selena Gomez whose one of the top stars in the US. He dedicated the photo to all Kenyan girls and encouraging them to be strong, capable and believe that anything is possible.

In his current photo, he has posted a poster with his image in it. It is written ‘PARIS; SON OF THE LAND FINDS HIMSELF IN FRANCE; BASED ON TRUE EVENTS’.

King Kaka proves to us that even those coming from the poorest background can make it big in life. He inspires many and he is doing a very good job.
Congratulations to our own; King Kaka.
