The Board of Directors of the Kenya Ports Authority has conveyed its approval regarding the exceptional performance demonstrated by the Authority during this year’s national Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Shows.
At the Nairobi International Trade Fair stand, Chairman Hon. Dalu Tayari expressed his appreciation to the Show management committee, praising the organizing team for their continuous excellence in the events.
According to Kenya Ports Authority the Authority traditionally participates in four national ASK shows annually beginning with Nakuru followed by Kisumu Agricultural shows.
“Kenya Ports Authority also participates in the Mombasa international show which is considered a home event and winds up the show season with the Nairobi international Trade Fair,” KPA said on an X post.
“The Board Chairman who was conducted on a guided tour of the standby the General Manager Corporate Services Mr. Edward Kamau said the show exhibitions complemented the corporate marketing efforts,” KPA added.
KPA stand bagged 10 top awards out of 11 categories entered for judging during the international Trade Fair.
The Deputy President taking to his X platform said that government continues to support ASK TradeFairs.
“The Kenya Kwanza Administration continues to support the ASK Trade Fairs, where farmers can learn new crop and animal husbandry practices, besides new and affordable technological innovations that stand to boost productivity, alongside the radical reforms we are implementing,” DP Gachagua said.
He further said that the ASK Nairobi International Trade Fair, 2024 Show offered a wide range of products and technical expertise to farmers.
The Nairobi International Trade Fair saw KPA Managing Director, Capt. William Ruto, honored with a prestigious Life Governor membership of ASK, in recognition of his leadership and contributions to Kenya’s maritime sector.
The award was presented during the official opening ceremony, which was presided over by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
