Launch of Heritage Trails,Barngetuny Mountain Run to Boost Tourism

In Kenya’s effort to elevate domestic tourism, the country is making significant strides to attract both local and international tourists.

The ambitious goal of reaching 5 million tourists in the coming years is now firmly within reach as the nation focuses on fast-tracking domestic tourism.

Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Rebecca Miano & Head of Public Service Felix Koskei flagged off the inaugural Heritage Trails & Barngetuny Mountain Run in Nyahururu.

The inaugural Heritage Trails & Barngetuny Mountain Run kicked off in Nyahururu, setting the stage for an exhilarating five-day adventure.

This endeavor is set to transform the tourism landscape, inviting Kenyans and visitors alike to explore and cherish the wonders of this magnificent country.

“We welcome Kenyans and visitors to a lifetime experience commencing at the scenic Thomson Falls in Nyahururu through to Tugen Hills then to Diguna Waterfalls nestled in Tinderet in Nandi County, itself a  great place for rock climbing with beautiful sites for picnic enthusiasts,” reiterated CS Miano.

Speaking during the launch, Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Tourism And Wildlife Rebecca Miano emphasized the need for embracing and fast tracking tourism.

“Domestic tourism remains a crucial component in our national tourism agenda. As we seek to hit the 5 million tourists mark in the next few years our eyes are set on fast tracking this aspect of our tourism,” stated CS Miano.

As Kenya embarks on this exciting journey to boost domestic tourism, the Heritage Trails & Barngetuny Mountain Run stands as a testament to the country’s commitment to showcasing its scenic beauty, cultural richness, and adventurous spirit.
