Sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal and Investigations (DCI) have apprehended Patrick Nyambaka Osoi in a well-coordinated operation along Lang’ata Road.
Patrick, a former Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Officer is accused of allegedly founding the Fighting Brutality and Impunity movement (FBI), a movement with the intention of fighting police brutality.
The movement consists of two other members namely, Jackson Kuria Kimani alias Cop Shakur who is a former police officer and Kimathi Hiram.
“We are the F.B.I Fighting Brutality & Impunity. We are not a Militia,We are ex-officers standing for justice. United by duty, driven by truth,” stated Cop Shakur on the formation of the movement.
“We advocate for good governance,expose brutality and document Injustice to ensure accountability,” he added
Osoi was arraigned at the Kahawa Law Courts today where he faced charges under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2012, and for being in possession of a firearm, among other offences.
“He is currently being held at Muthaiga Police Station, pending a court ruling on custodial orders scheduled for tomorrow, July 31, 2025,” stated the DCI.
Cop Shakur, was also arrested in Kahawa West in connection with the same offences where he had gone to attend Osoi’s court hearing.
“At the time of arrest, he was found in possession of a red beret bearing the ‘FBI’ symbol,” added the DCI.
Kihara will be arraigned at the Kahawa Law Courts tomorrow, July 31, 2025.
