President William Ruto had vowed to defy critics of his administration and assured Kenyans of achieving his promises to the Country.
He made this promise on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, at State House, Nairobi, when all Cabinet Secretaries and their Principal Secretaries converged for a ministerial performance contract signing event.
Various ministries and offices were awarded contracts that included specific targets they were required to meet during their tenure while in office.
President William Ruto, while officiating the ceremony, called upon Cabinet Secretaries to maintain vigilance and commitment in fulfilling their responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided to the citizens of Kenya.
“I look forward to working with the ministers and the PSs in making sure that we deliver on the commitments and the mandates that have been signed here,” said President Ruto.
“I promise you we will confound the naysayers we will succeed. This great nation that God has given us will succeed. The enemies of Kenya will be put to shame.”
“Although we are in a difficult place economically, I am confident we have the team, the people and the plan and goodwill to transform the nation. There’s no room for failure. We must succeed,” he added.
Mr. Mudavadi who is the Prime Cabinet Secretary signed three performance contracts with his roles as acting Cabinet Secretary in various Ministries.
He is the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs while also he is acting as the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Gender, Culture and Arts respectively.
Hon. Mudavadi took over as the CS for Interior in an acting capacity recently after Prof. Kindiki took over as the Deputy President of Kenya following Gachagua’s impeachment.
The Prime Cabinet Secretary was also appointed by the President to be CS for Gender, Culture and Arts in an acting capacity after Parliament failed to approve Stella Lang’at during her oral interviews and vetting by the Committee members after her nomination by President Ruto.
