Rita Tinina To Be Buried Next Week Wednesday

Veteran journalist Rita Tinina will be buried on Wednesday, 27th March at her family home at Noosupeni Farm Olokirikirai, Narok County next week.

According to a death and funeral announcement seen by KUTV, her family will be holding a funeral arrangements meeting at All Saint’s Cathedral from 5.30 pm. A requiem mass will be held at Holy Family Basilica on 25th March 2024 from 10.00 am.

“The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on 27th March 2024 at 7.00 am for the funeral Service and burial at their home, Noosupeni Farm Olokirikirai, Narok County starting at 10.00 am,” read her obituary in part.

” She was the beloved daughter of the late Dominic and the late Mary Yiapan, devoted mother of Mia Malaikah, and loving partner of Robert Nagila. Rita held a special place as a beloved sister of Helen, Irene, Justine, Jedidah, Keen, and Claudia,” read the announcement.

“In this time of mourning, let us honour her memory with fond remembrance and gratitude for the love she shared with us all.” It read as well.

Autopsy results conducted by government pathologist Peter Ndegwa revealed that the former NTV journalist Rita Tinina died of severe pneumonia. The 46-year-old was epileptic and had been suffering from a severe fever for five days.

The deceased’s family noted that they were satisfied with the results, and asked to be accorded privacy to mourn Rita. Tinina, who rejoined the Nation Media Group’s NTV in October 2023, was a senior reporter and editor.
