Three Robbery Suspects Arrested, G3 Rifle Seized in Samburu East Operation

Three notorious robbery suspects who had evaded law enforcement for weeks have been apprehended following a successful operation by a multi-agency team.

According to the detectives, the coordinated efforts of Samburu Police Station detectives, National Police Reservists, and officers from various agencies led to the successful tracking of the suspects, who were flushed out from their hideouts.

The trio, were arrested after a string of violent crimes, including a daring robbery at Dore Fashion Shop in Samburu East on December 12, 2024.

“Joseph Lokoloi, 22, Francis Alenthia Namaringile, 24, and Moses Kenchai, 23, are now in custody following their brazen robbery at Dore Fashion Shop. The incident was reported at Archer’s Police Post in Samburu East Sub-County on December 12, 2024,” stated the DCI.

During the operation, the officers seized a G3 rifle, serial number A3-9796032, loaded with two rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

“The investigation culminated in the recovery of a G3 rifle, a critical weapon linked to their string of violent crimes,” noted the detectives.

The suspects are now in police custody and are awaiting processing. However, a manhunt is underway for two additional individuals believed to be involved in the robbery.
