EPRA Set to Review Fuel Prices

The government Spokesperson, Hon. Isaac Mwaura, has announced that there will be a review of energy and fuel prices.

The government is scheduled to announce the new prices this afternoon on the 14th of April.

According to the spokesperson, the prices are expected to decrease from the current fuel prices.

“A major announcement on the reduction of fuel prices shall be made today at 3:00 pm by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Agency (EPRA),” stated the government spokesperson.

 

He further emphasized that the new prices would greatly contribute to reducing the cost of living in the country

 

 

 

In EPRA’s February review, it announced a reduction by Ksh. 1, resulting in new prices of Ksh. 206.36 for Super Petrol, Ksh. 195.47 for Diesel, and Ksh. 193.23 for Kerosene.

This reduction in pump prices coincides with the Kenyan shilling gaining strength against the dollar, which is the primary currency for international trade.

The government spokesperson noted that the price reduction is as a result of the Kenya Kwanza government, led by President William Ruto, fulfilling its promises to the Kenyan people.
