Angry youths smash Odingas car

Taila Odinga, and Kakamega Governor, Wycliff Oparanya, escaped un-hurt after chaos erupted during a meeting in Mumia East.

The windscreen of the car carrying the two was allegedly smashed by pro-Jubilee youth who had attended a meeting convened by area Member of Parliament, Benjamin Washiali.

The meeting turned chaotic. after some Members of County Assembly (MCAs) allied to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Some Members of County Assembly (MCAs) allied to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) allegedly tried wrestling a microphone from one of the speakers allied to the ruling Jubilee administration.

The youth, armed with stones and crude weapons, charged at each other with some pelting stones at rival camps.

Odinga and Oparanya were also blocked by the Jubilee supporters, led by MP Washiali, from addressing the meeting with the youth chanting anti-CORD slogans.
