A twenty five year old man from Tande village in Malava Constituency, Kakamega County succumbed to death after overdrinking free traditional liquor
Sorrow, pain and agony engulfed Tande Village in Kakamega County after a 25 year old man lost his life following a drinking spree.
It is alleged that Muftu Nyongesa and his peers were invited for a drinking session to guzzle free liquor to one’s ability, an incident that saw the late take more brew than what his body system could handle. According to the deceased’s wife, Ann Nyongesa, her husband asked her to prepare lunch and barely had she finished the task than he started spewing blood and passed away.
Confirming the incident, an investigative officer attached to Kakamega County expressed his disappointment over the high numbers of youth who indulge in alcohol abuse without considering the social and biological effects of alcohol on a person.
The body of the late is lying at the Kakamega referral hospital morgue.
