A drunken census enumerator was arrested after he urinated in the living room of the Nyumba Kumi official who was supposed to accompany him for census activities .Samson Ndirangu, a census enumerator showed up at the house thoroughly drunk and proceeded to drop his trousers and urinated before blacking out.
Ndirangu, the wayward enumerator is a fourth-year student at Chuka University. Just before committing the horrifying act, Ndirangu had grabbed and eaten food meant for children at a different house. To top it all, he turned up without his enumeration gadget, saying it was lost.
Police took him to Murang’a District Hospital to regain consciousness and later was later booked him. It took grilling by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers for him to tell them where the gadget was, said Murang’a East OCPD Alexander Muasya.
He had apparently left the very important gadget at his girlfriend’s house in Mukuyu market. He pleaded guilty to contravening the oath of secrecy at a Murang’a court.
