Hon. Soipan Tuya has been grateful for her new reassignment to the powerful Ministry of Defence from her former role in the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry in a surprise reshuffle by the President in the nominee list.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Wetangula on Tuesday afternoon 23rd July 2024 announced the changes as received from the State House.
CS nominee for the Defence Ministry expressed appreciation and commitment to deliver on her new role upon confirmation and approval by Parliament.
“Eternally grateful to God for His favor! I thank HE President William Ruto for nominating me to serve as Cabinet Secretary Defence. Upon confirmation, I will give it my all, in service to the people of Kenya,” Soipan wrote on her X account.
Hon. Duale has been assigned to take over from Soipan Tuya in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry upon approval by the National Assembly.
He was also grateful to the President and the people of Kenya for the trust bestowed on him to serve in the Cabinet once again.
Mr. Duale emphasized his commitment to work for the country and promised to focus on combating climate and promoting reforestation upon confirmation.
“I am grateful to President William Ruto for reassigning me from the Defence Ministry to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry. I look forward to serving in my new portfolio and ensuring the focus is on sustainable environmental management, combating climate change, and promoting reforestation and conservation efforts,” Hon. Duale wrote on X.
