Exam illegalities suspects arraigned in court

Fifteen suspects have been arraigned at an Ogembo court Kisii County for engaging in irregularities in this year’s KCSE.

Initially, 14 suspects had been apprehended while two others were at large but one of them was nabbed later.

Before Ogembo resident magistrate Margret Nafula, the suspects arrested at Monianku Secondary School in Gucha South did not take a plea owing to incomplete investigations.

They faced two charges of being in possession of examination materials and aiding and abetting crime contrary to Kenya National Examination council act.

Nafula ordered that they be remanded at Nyamarambe police station until November 12 2018 to pave way for the investigations to be completed.

She directed that the prosecution supply documentary evidence intended to be reply on in the case to the accused persons’ defense lawyer, Kerosi Ondieki.
