Lorna Omondi Ogolla, the daughter of the late Chief of Defence Forces Gen Francis Ogolla, has mourned his father in a solemn tribute. She expressed her sorrow as well as admiration for her father.
She described him as a dedicated individual who constantly strived for excellence in all aspects of his life. General Ogolla tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash in Elgeyo Marakwet on Thursday afternoon.
Lorna expressed her heartfelt sentiments about her father’s untimely demise.
“My father, pursuer of excellence,” she described her father.
In a poignant post on LinkedIn, Lorna Amondi Ogolla shared her thoughts stating, “My father pursuer of excellence, most empathetic and effective leader and statesman just went down in chopper crash.”
Her father, unfortunately, met his fate in a chopper crash in West Pokot while fulfilling his duty.
“Doing what he did best for the better part of the last 40 years trying to keep Kenya Safe,” expressed Lorna.
“One day I shall tell beautiful stories of how he taught with his actions and not with his words,” she expressed further.
“But today – I rush home to send him off to the great beyond,” she condoled.
CDF Ogolla was mourned by various Kenyan dignitaries, including President Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
