Nyamira governor,Amos Nyaribo has dared the area county assembly to continue frustrating his government from delivering its mandate or risk dissolution.
Constitutionally,a governor can petition the president through collection of signatures from the electorate to dissolve a wanting county assembly.
Speaking in Nyamira, the governor gave public notice to the MCAs to engage in dialogue and cooperate with the executive government for faster development.
This comes amid recent acrimonious developments in Nyamira pitting the governor against the county assembly.
Employment and Labour and Relations court had issued conservatory barring the vetting committee from processing appointees to positions of county executive committee members.
Protesting against their sacking by the governor, four county ‘ministers’ had succeeded to obtain the orders from Justice Hellen Wasilwa sitting in Kericho.
In another development,a deputy governor appointee ,Dr. James Gesami, was dropped by the assembly members for failure to meet the set requirements,a move that appeared to irritate Nyaribo.
The irony of the situation is that during the inauguration of Nyaribo as the new governor, following the death of John Nyagarma, the county assembly had pledged to accord him a close working relationship.
