Janet Mbugua speaks after Ndichu brothers were accused of assaulting women for allegedly turning them down.

Ex-TV girl and founder of Inua Dada Foundation Janet Mbugua has issued a statement following the horrific video clip of where a social media user has accused her estranged husband Eddie Ndichu and his twin brother Paul Ndichu of being involved in a fight over women at Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi.

Yesterday, a video allegedly of the two was leaked by blogger Edgar-Obare where according to the story, they were accused of engaging in a fistfight with two ladies and a man at the hotel located along Mombasa Road.

In the clip, a man allegedly said to be one of the twins dressed in a white tee is seen vandalizing the victim’s car’s side mirror before joining in the fight.

After several speculations, finally, Janet has spoken out and has strongly condemned the behaviour affirming that justice must prevail.

The mother of two took to Twitter where she wrote a lengthy statement detailing her thoughts on the situation.

“I am saddened by increasing incidents of Gender-Based Violence(GBV). Over the last decade, I have joined my voice in efforts to #EndGBV. I condemn all forms of GBV irrespective of who is involved and will continue to speak out against it. We have laws in Kenya and justice must prevail,” she tweeted.

Further details about the incident were shared on Monday, October 18, by activist Bonface Mwangi who also condemned the occurrence while asking police officers to take action against the duo.

According to Mwangi, he was informed of what transpired by the sister of the victim who was also allegedly assaulted by the two brothers.

Asked what prompted the assault, the lady claimed that it was all because they had turned their advances down.

“Yesterday, my sister and I were attacked by the Ndichu twins for respectfully turning them down. They threatened to shoot us and ruin our lives,” the lady told Mwangi.

“They threatened to shoot us and ruin our lives. My sister was strangled by Paul Ndichu while her boyfriend who had come to her rescue was being strangled by Eddie,” she further added.

Mwangi then shared the video and tagged the IG who then gave a quick reaction about the matter and asked them to report the alleged incident.

“This incident should be reported to the nearest police station for action,” Mutyambai said.
