I Am Not Dennis Muigai Ngengi,Man Claims.

Kenyans, on social media platforms, have been left wondering about an eyewitness who has been seen in live coverage of fatal accidents in Kenya?

Dennis Muigai Ngengi, the mysterious eyewitness, witnessed both the helicopter crash in Lake  Nakuru and the accident on the Murang’a accident that led to the demise of Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru.

Mr. Ngengi claimed that he witnessed the tragic accident Tuesday morning along Thika-Murang’a road that claimed the life of the Nyeri Governor.
Most people identified him as the same man who testified in another TV interview in October during the Nakuru helicopter crash. He seemed to have details of events surrounding the accident.
At Lake Nakuru he identified himself as a pilot and a friend to the late Apollo Malowa, the pilot who perished in the helicopter crash. He was in crutches during the live TV interview as he sent condolences to families of the five people who perished in the accident.

To add to the controversy and mystery surrounding this eyewitness, a man has come out to claim he is not the eye witness seen on TV.
On a post on Facebook accompanied by a photo bearing close semblance of our said eyewitness, Njerū Njagī Wamūgūnda    stated categorically that he is not  Dennis Muigai Ngengi. Here is what he posted.
To Whom It May Concern:

Please Note:
This is my photo. Taken by a friend in an office in Nairobi on February 24, 2015.

I’m told that I bear an uncanny resemblance to one Dennis Muigai Ngengi, a man who has prominently appeared on TV interviews in two separate accident scenes.

Now, this photo has been trending all over social media since early this evening…for all the wrong reasons. The photo is being posted mistakenly as that of Dennis Muigai Ngengi.

Among other damaging things, some of the trending posts warn that “This man is an assassin.”

I Repeat:
I AM NOT Dennis Muigai Ngengi, the eye-witness. I do not even know Mr. Ngengi. I’m neither a pilot, a state officer (as he says he is) nor am I a state security person. I am a private businessman dealing in media and communications.

It’s all an unfortunate mix-up.

I wish to urge all those who have used this photo, alongside the name Dennis Muigai Ngengi, to make mudslinging and damaging posts to be fair to me and pull down the posts.

It is not funny at all.”

The question still remains, who is the mysterious eyewitness? Why does he always appear at these accident scenes?
